    Stronger, lighter, no splinters, and they don’t break as easily.

    I’m not sure about axes, but I have had some experience with fibreglass garden tools such as spades, and I would never buy them. In one year the tools with the wood handles used by a community group where still use able but many of the fibreglass handle tools had broken and were unusable.

    Fibreglass is very strong and can be lighter and tend to take more damage when you over strike

    Wooden handles can vary in quality, which way is the grain going and type of wood used, cheap ones arnt worth it. Get a good quality one and look after it and it will last
    My Dad had an axe with a quality Hickory handle and during times when not using it he would regularly rub raw linseed oil into
