When sending a package through the mail do I have to cover all the box?

I’m sending an item USPS parcel post. It’s securly packed and taped shut in a lysol box (the box used to hold 4 toilet bowl cleaner containers). Do I have to cover the box with brown or white paper or something or I can I leave it the way it is? There are several advertisements and such on the lysol box. The label of course will be attached to the outside securely.

nope. i’ve done this plenty. you must black out any barcode or typed address.

Usually, covering the bar codes and other addresses are enough except…..when you are shipping stuff in a box that once contained beer, alcohol, and potentially hazardous household cleaners such as bleach and toilet bowl cleaners. These are not accepted at all ~ I know, because I used to sell stuff on eBay for 8 years.

You will have to wrap the box in white or brown heavy duty craft paper, and make sure it’s taped securely enough that the paper doesn’t come off during shipping. Sorry, it’s a hassle for sure but them’s the rules.
