What is the big white pan that goes on top of the agitator in top loading washing machines called?

I had an older washing machine from the 90s that had a removeable “pan” with holes in it that strained out pet hair and other things while doing a load of laundry. However, for my new washer I bought in 2006, this part isn’t included, and as a result, pet hair gets everywhere in the washer. What is it called so I can look into buying it separately?
