What is the best thing to use to seal small gaps between my laminate flooring and walls?
We have some serious bugs (mostly ants) getting in, and I would like to seal the gaps, but I don’t want to use anything that is horrible for my kids, either. They are 1 and 4, and still play on the floor a lot!

Set off a couple of bug bombs then seal the gags with a silicone base caulk clear or a color close to what your wall and floor is.Also call a exterminator to treat inside your walls.

You should take care of your pest problem, as a pest problem, meaning use insect killer or repellent. Sealing the gaps will NOT solve the problem. they WILL find another way in. The gaps between your laminate flooring and walls is necessary for proper installation. They allow for expansion and contraction and allow your floor to move. If the floor is not allowed to move it will buckle. If the gaps are unsightly to you, you should install (or have installed) a molding called shoe molding or quarter round over the gaps to hide them.

you need to fix the bug problem first…but you should have quarter-round down around your walls.
