Just a little confused with your Question. If there is gas in your house and not in the kitchen, just run a line to your kitchen. If no gas in your house, check with city if gas is available at the street and tap in,there is a fee. If no natural gas is available in your area check with propane gas service company in your area for prices to install. You will need a special propane tank outside along with pipe to your house. You will then need gas appliances that run on propane gas.All they do is change the orifice of each appliance to propane gas. Good luck. As far as price, can’t say. To many variables with each house.

Rachelle, yeah, too many variables.
I really think that your best starting point would be to get the advice/estimates of local plumbing contractors who can come by (your house or the house you are about to buy) and visually assess what needs to be done.
Call around. Hmmm, here’s a good handyman site I use often, which has a section devoted to plumbing, where you’ll find a handy text-link ad towards the middle of the following linked page that offers up to four (4) Free estimates from local plumbing contractors who can provide you more information about the possibilities of your gas hookup (when you click on the link below, you’ll be taken to a handyman page where you’ll just scroll down a bit past the middle of the page to arrive at the text-link, “Find Local Plumbing Services.Get Up to 4 Quotes Now…Free”):
http://yourhandymanzone.com/Your_Handyman_Zone_How_To_Pages_Home_Improvement_Zone_Plumbing.htm
So, Rachelle, Get your free estimates. That way you’ll get information that is relevant to your local area, including what is possible for your situation and the relevant costs.
