Can I reduce the span of roof rafters by doubling the rafters?
I have 2×6 rafters 24 oc and I want to strengtheng them by
by either doubleing them or adding rafters and making them 12 oc what would be the best option?

Actually, you’ll be increasing the span. I also agree; add one in the middle to make it 12″ o.c.
